The “Ber” Months are Here, and So are Fun Activities with Caldwell County 4-H!

As September arrives, we’re diving into fair and festival season! The Caldwell County Agricultural Fair will be held from September 25th to 28th, and our brand-new 4-H Fall Fest is set for October 25th! Plus, we’ve got two exciting craft days on October 14th and December 20th.

There are plenty of ways for Caldwell County youth to get involved in the County Fair! From showing livestock to submitting entries for judging in the exposition hall, there’s something for everyone. Showing livestock offers a chance for youth to learn responsibility and gain confidence by caring for and presenting animals. Or, if they’d prefer, they can enter various categories in the expo hall, where their creativity will be rewarded with cash prizes!

Introducing the 4-H Fall Fest: October 25th

We’re excited to announce a brand-new event this year, the 4-H Fall Fest. This free event is open to the public and will be held at the Caldwell County Fairgrounds on October 25th from 6-8 p.m.. There will be trick-or-treating, games, food, crafts for sale, a half-and-half raffle, a costume contest, and so much more!

Fall Crafts Workshop: October 14th

School’s out on October 14th, so why not join us for a day of creativity at our Fall Crafts Workshop? This is the perfect opportunity for youth to immerse themselves in hands-on activities and explore their artistic sides.

Participants will rotate through a variety of craft stations, making two versions of each project—one to take home and one to donate to our 4-H Fall Fest. Please pack a lunch for the day. This workshop is open to all youth ages 10-18, and participants must be enrolled in 4-H Online.

Christmas Crafts Event: December 20th

Celebrate the holiday season with Caldwell County 4-H at our Christmas Crafts Event on December 20th! With schools on half-days, it’s the perfect time to get into the festive spirit.

Join us for an afternoon of holiday cheer as we decorate cookies, sip hot chocolate, create beautiful ornaments and cards, and play fun games. This is a fantastic way to kick off the Christmas season and create lasting memories with friends.
