There have been a lot of changes in the Caldwell Extension Center since the last newsletter. We have been able to bring two new people aboard and fill our three vacant positions.
Tina Lovejoy is our new Administrative Assistant. She started July 15th. Tina comes to Cooperative Extension from Caldwell Community College where she worked in the Corporate and Continuing Education department.
Darlene Berry joined the Caldwell Extension Center August 15th. Darlene is leading our 4-H and Family Consumer Science programs. I am excited about the support and skills Tina and Darlene are adding to the Extension Center.
If you plan to visit the Caldwell County Agricultural Fair (September 24-28), have a look at the Exhibit barn. We are encouraging the 4-H youth to enter interactive booths. Darlene and the 4-H youth will be present each evening to greet people visiting exhibits.
I hope this newsletter helps keep you informed about what is happening at the Caldwell Extension Center. I welcome any comments or suggestions on how we can improve.
Also, if you are unable to visit the Caldwell Extension Center in person, you can always visit us virtually at our website: caldwell.ces.ncsu.edu. Here you can get contact information, including email addresses for everyone in the office. You can also see event listings and information about relevant topics.
