Caldwell County was founded 175 years ago and we want you to help mark this community milestone by planting a tree that will see the next 175th founding celebration in 2191. This is your invitation to join with the Caldwell County Extension Center, the NC Forest Service, and the Caldwell Soil & Water Conservation District to celebrate this occasion with a gift for our future generations to enjoy.

175 Northern Red Oak and White Oak tree seedlings are being provided free of charge for homeowners and landowners in the county to plant and commemorate this historic event.Please complete this short form to reserve up to five (5) trees for you to plant on your property. If you have questions, please contact your natural resource experts at the Caldwell Extension Center at 757.1290, NC Forestry Service at 758.5614, or the Caldwell Soil & Water Conservation District at 758.1111.Trees will be available for pick up at the Caldwell Extension Center located at 120 Hospital Ave, NE, Lenoir on March 11, 2016 from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
