Governor’s Volunteer Service Award

(Lenoir, NC) – Nominations are being accepted in Caldwell County for the 2018 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.

This volunteer award program was created by the Governor’s Office in 1979. The goal of the program is designed to recognize those that selflessly give of their time and talents to help others. One Caldwell County award winner will be nominated for the Governor’s Medallion Award for Volunteer Service.  

Nominations are being accepted in ten categories; Individual, Family, Team, Youth, Senior, Faith Based, Business, National Service, Paid Director, and Lifetime Achievement. Nomination forms will be accepted until 5:00 pm, Monday, January 8, 2018.

If you know of a deserving candidate(s), please complete a Governor’s Volunteer Service Award Nomination form. Nomination forms are available online at and at the Caldwell Extension Center. Call 828-757-1290 if you would like a nomination form mailed to you.
