Save the Date: Pollinator Education Session

When: Saturday, August 4, 2018 – 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Where: **NOTE: The first part of this class will be held at the Caldwell County Public Library (120 Hospital Ave NE, Lenoir, NC) and the second part will be at Unity Park and Community Gardens (1419 College Ave SW, Lenoir, NC). Participants will provide their own transportation between the library and garden.

Did you know that 75% of the world’s food crops depend in part on pollinators? Join the Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Caldwell County and the Caldwell County Beekeepers’ Association for an educational session all about pollinators, their importance, and what you can do to protect them.

The class will start with an indoor session in Room 2 at the Caldwell County Public Library at 10:00 a.m. Then at 11:00 a.m., participants will caravan to Unity Park and Community Gardens to see the newly established pollinator garden and learn about honeybees. Light refreshments will be served.
