Join N.C. Cooperative Extension agents Eli Snyder and Seth Nagy for a 2-hour discussion of important invasive insects and plants in Caldwell County or that have the potential to spread to our region. We will discuss how to identify these species, their biology, and how to prevent or slow their spread.

Among other pests, we will cover the Red Imported Fire Ant, Giant Hogweed, the Kudzu Bug, the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug, and the Spotted Lanternfly.

This class is free and open to anyone interested. Landowners, gardeners, farmers, and land managers are highly encouraged to attend. Pesticide recertification credits will be offered for those with NC Pesticide licenses (2 L,D,N,O,X credits) and (1 H credit).
