Collapse ▲Join N.C. Cooperative Extension in Caldwell County and the Caldwell County Public Library to celebrate the opening of the Caldwell Seed Library for the 2019 gardening season! The Caldwell Seed Library is a place where gardeners of all levels can check out home-garden sized seed that has been donated to the library at no charge. Those members that check out seed are requested to donate properly saved, fresh seed to the library or fresh purchased seed, to perpetuate a culture of gardening, seed saving, and seed exchange in Caldwell County.
This year’s opening will feature live seed-saving themed music and a raffle! We are pleased to have some varieties available that have been grown by Caldwell County families for several generations.
In 2018, over 160 people became members of the Caldwell Seed Library. Over 3500 packets of seed were “checked out” from the library. Don’t miss this opportunity to get the best selection of seeds all season!
Date: Saturday, February 2, 2019
