He started his career as a school psychologist and has been an assistant principal, principal, executive director, and university professor. It is the love of family that anchors her: her husband, children, grand-children, sibling, and other members. She was born and raised in Caldwell County and was fortunate to travel, live, and work in different places within and beyond the United States due to her years as a military wife to Sgt. Major, Charles Hall. At the same time, she says returning to live in Caldwell County has impacted her life favorably over the years.
