Give by Feb. 17 to help provide full scholarships to send deserving youth to 4-H summer camp this year!

We are excited to share that the NC 4-H Camps program has been selected to participate in NC State’s Crowdfunding Campaign from January 18 to February 17, 2023. During this time, we will be raising funds to provide full camp scholarships to send youth in need to 4-H summer camp in 2023. There are few tools as powerful as the camp experience to positively impact the lives of young people. See the impact our camp scholarship program has on young people, then consider making a gift in support of our efforts to make camp accessible to all children.

How it Works

At any time from January 11 to February 17, visit go.ncsu.edu/campscrowdfunding to donate towards our goal of raising $5,000. Your support will directly impact young people in summer of 2023 by providing full scholarships for at least 10 youth from vulnerable populations to attend a week of overnight summer camp at one of three 4-H camps in the state: The Eastern 4-H Center, Betsy-Jeff Penn 4-H Camp, or Millstone 4-H Camp. Scholarship recipients will be selected during a competitive application process during the spring of 2023, then attend summer camp in June, July or August.

Who Benefits

Full camp scholarships ($500 per child) will be given to youth from vulnerable populations. This includes youth from low-income families, underrepresented youth including Youth of Color and Native American youth, youth living with disabilities, youth experiencing challenges with mental health and wellbeing, youth in foster care, youth experiencing homelessness, and/or LGBTQ+ youth.

We appreciate your support of the NC 4-H Camps program and the youth of North Carolina. We believe that every young person should have the opportunity to participate in the life-changing experience 4-H summer camp provides. Learn more here about the impacts our camps have in the lives of young people every day.
