Speaker: Dr. Deidre Harmon, NCSU Livestock Specialist, @ Mountain Research Station - Waynesville. Deidre was raised in Galax,Va. She and family currently run 300 cows on the home farm.
Please pay annual dues to Amanda Whitener. Membership list will be corrected based on dues paid thru April.
Ø We need cakes baked for both the North Carolina Cattlemen’s Friday Night Banquet and the Youth Recognition Breakfast” Auction on Saturday morning Feb. 24th.
Ø FRIDAY night, February 23, we will cook and serve (7 pm) a BBQ Meal. We need your help. Plan to attend and work at cooking, serving, or cleaning. Call our president, Greg Whitener (828-228-7962); secretary, Jeff Carpenter (704-530-1867);livestock extension agent, Glenn Detweiler (405-219-1902). The money raised last year was very similar to this fall BBQ. We need your help to make this job easy and we enjoy your company!Volunteer at the meeting for good planning.
