Hazardous Household Waste Day
Now's the time to start cleaning out your basements, garages, and homes for household hazardous waste!
The 2026 Caldwell County Household Hazardous Waste Day is Saturday, October 3. This event will be held at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute from 8am-12pm. Event Details
- Cost: Free for Caldwell County residents.
- Accepted Items: Household cleaners, paint products, automotive products, pesticides, fertilizers, kerosene, batteries, pool chemicals, mercury thermometers, and fluorescent tubes.
- Additional Services:
- Free document shredding provided by the Register of Deeds.
- Unwanted medications and prescription drugs collected by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office.
- Electronics disposal.
