Caldwell County Extension and Master Gardeners Host Third Annual Winter Seed-Sowing Workshop
The Caldwell County Center of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Caldwell County Extension Master Gardener Volunteers, invites you to the Third Annual Winter Seed-Sowing Workshop. This engaging event will take place on Thursday, January 16th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Caldwell County Center. Best of all, it’s free to attend!
Designed to teach effective methods for propagating native perennial seeds, this workshop emphasizes the importance of native plants in promoting biodiversity and supporting pollinators. By selecting plants adapted to our local environment, participants can enhance ecosystem health, support pollinators, and promote long-term landscape success.
The Caldwell County Master Gardeners will play a key role in distributing seed-sowing kits and assisting participants throughout the event, and sharing their expertise to help attendees get started on their gardening journey.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary seed-sowing kit as part of the workshop. However, supplies are limited, so register early to reserve your spot!
To register, call the Caldwell County Center at 828-757-1290 or email Sarah Christas at sarah_christas@ncsu.edu. Come join us for this fun and educational event as we work together to sow the seeds of a greener tomorrow!
