This year marks a remarkable milestone for Caldwell County 4-H as we proudly celebrate 100 years of service, learning, and leadership in our community! Since its establishment in 1924, Caldwell County 4-H has been a cornerstone for youth development, fostering life skills, leadership, and a sense of community through countless programs and activities.

As we look back on a century of achievements, we are inviting 4-H alumni to commemorate this incredible journey. To honor our rich history, we are seeking heritage items from past 4-H members and supporters to display at our Achievement Night on February 21st. Items such as old ribbons, trophies, t-shirts, photographs, scrapbooks, and other memorabilia are welcome and will help us bring our history to life.

4-H Club Work was started by P.M. Hendricks in 1925 with 3 active members.
These were 3 boys who did poultry club work. This is a photo of them on a Hike in Edgemont, NC with Forest Ranger Coffey.

If you have any 4-H treasures tucked away, we would love the opportunity to share them with the community during this special event. These items will be prominently displayed, offering a glimpse into the legacy of Caldwell County 4-H and the many lives it has touched over the years.

To contribute items or learn more about our 100th-year celebration, please contact Gabby Whorley 4-H Agent, at (828)757-1258 or glwhorle@ncsu.edu. Let’s make this centennial year unforgettable by celebrating the past and looking forward to the future of Caldwell County 4-H together.

We can’t wait to see all of our members past and present on February 21st at our annual Achievement Night! Thank you for being part of our history and helping us honor the legacy of Caldwell County 4-H.
